Some teachers round Powerschool grades
- Some teachers prefer to round class grades, so on Powerschool the rounded class grade shows instead of the actual grade.
- For example, if your teachers rounds grades, Powerschool may show that your overall grade in a class is 90% when in reality it's 89.51%.
- GradeWizard always rounds to two decimal places, so that you can see precisely what your exact class grade is.
Your grades could be weighted
- Some classes, most commonly AP/Honors classes, use weighted grades, where each grade category has a different percentage.
- Review your class syllabus to find out what the percentages are.
- If it is not mentioned in the syllabus, ask your teacher what the weightage of each grade category is.
- If your grades are weighted, be sure to use our Weighted Grade Calculator to correctly calculate your grade.
Extra information was entered
- Be sure to only copy and paste from the beginning line of your first grade, all the way to the last line of the end.
- Double check to make sure that no extra letters or numbers were accidentally entered in the textbox.
Using the website on your phone/tablet
- As of now, GradeWizard's magic is limited on PCs and laptops, and is not yet supported on mobile devices.
Grade are not in sync on Powerschool
- Ocassionally, even when all scores are entered on Powerschool, the actual class grade Powerschool shows is not updated until the entire grading period is over. This is why your class grade on Powerschool may not be the same as your actual class grade calculated on GradeWizard.
- For example, your teacher may have added scores after Quarter 1 into Powerschool, but the class grade Powerschool shows may only include Quarter 1 scores.
- Once the grading period is complete on Powerschool, it will show the same grade that is calculated on GradeWizard.
